Preserving Paradise offers an inside look at the people who fight to protect some of the last remaining tropical rainforests on our planet. A young team of environmentalists take the audience on an exciting journey around the world to discover innovative strategies from leading scientists, conservation organizations and indigenous communities. The team starts the journey ready to point fingers at those directly involved in clear cutting, but as they learn more they begin to realize that it is their own industrial and agricultural demands in the United States that are driving the destruction of tropical rainforests. Ultimately they learn that there is no quick fix we can impose, but rather we can support the people and communities who are developing sustainable alternatives that influence the preservation of tropical rainforest ecosystems.
